up and enhance your drawing skills by using a method of
drawing quick gestures. This class is a great excercise to
teach the mind to see what the eye sees, and not what the
mind “thinks” it sees.

sessions through the spring

Working from a photograph of choice, students will draw or
paint the portrait with individual guidance to complete a
final painting / drawing. There will also be an
instructional breakdown of the human head in different
positions, so that students can apply these skills to their
portraiture. Please bring supplies of your choice, desired
photograph, and a portable easel (if
applicable). Students will also have the opportunity
to work form a live model.
Cost: $80.00 for 4 weeks

Individual guidance with drawing and painting scenery using
pastels and oils, will allow students to express their
sense of emotion and develop their personal expression of
the landscape. Bring a desired photo and supplies in either
pastels or oils. On weather permitting days in the spring
and fall, the class will have the oportunity to do plein
aire (outdoors) painting. Demonstrations of pastel
techniques and oil techniques will be shown. Email for
